Dr Kerith Aginsky

Dr Kerith Aginsky Dr Kerith Aginsky heads up the biomechanics at the Sylvan Adams Sports Institute, Tel Aviv University. She is a biokineticist/exercise rehabilitation therapist by profession, having earned her degree from the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, South Africa. She then graduated with her PhD in Exercise Science with specific focus on biomechanics and rehabilitation of injury in elite sports from the Department of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at the University of Cape Town based at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa. 
Following this Dr Aginsky worked in the Centre for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa coordinating the honours biokinetics course, successfully supervising honours and masters students. She has 9 peer-reviewed papers, has served on numerous South African healthcare and cricket research committees and presented at a number of international conferences. On making aliyah, Dr Aginsky worked at a start-up company, Physimax as Head of Research, working in the clinical development of the technology, before taking up the position at SASI.
Dr Aginsky has over 20 years of experience in working with elite and amateur athletes in a variety of sports, as well as South African and Israeli national and international sportsmen and women. She is specialised in the areas of biomechanics, injury prevention and rehabilitation of both orthopaedic injuries as well as chronic conditions such as cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, high performance testing of elite athletes, muscle activity (EMG), strength testing and training and sports science.
