Certified pediatrician; Certified sport medicine specialist; Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Tel Aviv University, Israel

 

Director of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, that provides medical coverage for the clinical and research activities held at the Institute and for the Israeli Paralympic Team.  

 

He is the Chairman of the Israeli Olympic Committee Medical Commission; Secretary of the Israeli Society of Sports Medicine;  Chief editor of Israeli Medical Association Guidelines on Pediatric Physical Activity and on Pediatric Obesity; Member of several Israeli Ministry of Health Councils and advisory committees.

 

Prof. Dubnov-Raz is an author of >160 original research papers, review articles, book chapters, editorials, case reports, encyclopedia items and national guidelines. His main research interests include sports and exercise medicine in children and in adults, exercise testing, and pediatric obesity. 

 

Most importantly, he is the husband to a lovely physical education teacher, a father to four magnificent children, is trained in several types of martial arts, and holds black belts in Taekwondo and Dennis Survival Jiu-Jitsu.
